The Eyre Highway 1 is a long road of 1675 km from west to east between Norseman in Western Australia (where it extends Esperance Highway) in Port Augusta South Australia (where it is extended by the Princes Highway) via the Nullarbor Plain.
It is part of the mesh Australian National Highway 1 and Highway in the section between Perth to Adelaide. It bears the name of the explorer Edward John Eyre who was the first to cross the Nullarbor Plain by land.
